VIA - MOLDE

Video and sound installation at Møre og Romsdal Artcenter - July 2021. Tone Myskja was the festival artist and made the festival exhibition at Molde International Jazzfestival. Sound- design by Jon Balke.
In 2019, the video artist Tone Myskja and musician, composer and producer Jon Balke were commissioned to animate three stairwells in Lillehammer Art Museum. Under the title Via, their installations were envisaged as transit zones that connect different parts of the museum’s exhibition “Have we met before? Art from the collection through 200 years”. Myskja developed video presentations that were projected directly onto the walls, floors and stairs, while Balke contributed sound compositions for the same spaces. Via became a symbiotic relationship between these two elements.  The festival exhibition was a continuation, new make and remix of the original VIA, with a new soundtrack.
